We want your first visit with us to be one where you can feel confident, comfortable, and know that you are getting the best care possible. Whether it’s a dental emergency or simply for a check-up, Dr. Pinsky and his associates will take the time to get to know you on a personal basis.

Your First Visit With Us

iStock_000015123604_MediumWhen you first arrive, you will be escorted to one of our treatment rooms, so that a series of full mouth radiographs can be taken. These images give us the information that we need to assess oral health structures that are not visible during the clinical portion of your exam.

Dr. Pinsky or one of his associates will thoroughly examine your entire smile. This includes assessing:

  • The integrity of your existing restorations
  • Health of gingival tissues
  • Screening for sleep apnea
  • Assessment of the TMJ
  • Occlusal (bite) relationship

If your teeth are free of periodontal disease, we will then perform a preventive dental cleaning. One of our dentists will then discuss your concerns with you and address any questions that you may have.

Should any treatment be necessary, we will review your care options with you so that you can select the one most appropriate for your smile needs. As a courtesy to our patients, State of the Art Dental Group in Rockville also offers insurance pre-authorization services.
