Teeth Cleaning and Preventive Care in Rockville

$99 New Patient Special

We'd like to welcome new patients to our practice with our $99 new patient exam. This special includes a comprehensive exam, routine teeth cleaning and x-rays!

Brushing daily with preventive dentistry visits ensure you are doing what you need for good oral care. Routine preventive detentistry is one of the most important things that you and your child deserve when it comes to oral health care. Without preserving and protecting our teeth, the future of our smiles is in jeopardy.

Most of our patients with healthy smiles that are free of gum disease, benefit from a checkup twice each year. During these visits we perform important steps to limit tooth decay, infection, and disease.

Here are just a few examples:

Comprehensive Exams

Every new patient receives an extensive intraoral and extraoral exam by one of our dentists. We assess everything from your facial characteristics to the way your teeth bite together. If you have existing dental work, we will evaluate the integrity of each restoration to ensure they last as long as possible.

Removing Tartar and Other Hazardous Materials for Dental Hygiene

Our Registered Dental Hygienists provide gentle cleanings as well as oral hygiene instruction based on your specific dental health needs. We also screen for periodontal disease, a condition that causes bone and tooth loss.

Digital X-Rays

Low-radiation imaging makes it possible to evaluate your bone height, areas around existing dental work, and surfaces between your teeth. Most healthy patients benefit from a series of bitewing x-rays at least once per year, and a full mouth series of films every 3 to 5 years.

Preventive dentistry includes oral cancer screenings. Oral cancer is a serious, deadly disease that can impact anyone. Certain risk factors like sun exposure or smoking may increase the possibility of having the disease.

Our office uses Vizilite equipment to identify precancerous tissues before they are capable of being seen during a traditional exam.

How long has it been since your last checkup? If it has been longer than 6 months, give us a call! We’ll be happy to help you keep your oral health where it needs to be, or get you back on track.

At State of the Art Dental Group, our gentle tooth extraction techniques and sedation options will put your mind at ease throughout the entire procedure!
