Denture Types for Any Situation

Modern dentures come in many different shapes and sizes to fit the unique needs of your oral health situation. Complete dentures are designed to replace an entire arch of missing or failing teeth. They’re generally made from acrylic or porcelain and rely on natural suction or adhesives to remain in place. Partial dentures are customized to fit around remaining teeth and fill in gaps of missing teeth. They can be made with either a plastic or metal framework and rely on clasps to remain secure. Both dentures and partial dentures are removable, making hygiene maintenance easy.

Implant Supported Dentures

Dentures can also be anchored over dental implants. They can be removable, where you are able to snap them in and out at the end of the day, or fixed, permanently anchored to the implant abutment. Implant dentures generally take up less space in the mouth and are ideal for patients who have difficulty getting a traditional denture to fit securely throughout the day. Caring for your dentures the right way can help them feel comfortable, longer. We recommend removing your prosthesis each night and soaking it in an approved cleansing solution. In the morning, use a soft denture brush to clean away all of the loosened debris and then rinse it clean. Be sure to clean inside of your mouth before putting your prosthesis back in!
